Wishing you a Beautiful Day Greeting Card (Crazy Card Chics January 2022)

Crazy Card Chics (formerly Rose Hill Stamp Camp) is back in action with monthly card kits to go.  We haven't given up on the hope of going back to live stamp camps at some point, but we haven't yet found a suitable new location . . . and to be honest, with the current upsurge in COVID (Omicron) we're not all quite ready to go back to live stamping events.

So this is my card for January's card kits to go.

This card is slightly larger than the usual A2 card -- it's from a card making kit featured in Stampin' Up!'s 2021 January-June Mini Catalog (now retired), and the size is 6-1/4" x 4-1/4", with coordinating envelopes that measure 6-1/2" x 4-1/2".  No additional postage is required to mail this size.

Assembly

Front

1. Center and adhere Mossy Meadow card stock to card front.

2. Adhere Bumblebee patterned paper over card stock.

3. Stamp Splattered Background on 4-3/4” x 2-3/4” white card stock with Bumblebee ink; stamp sentiment with black ink.  Adhere over patterned paper.

4. Use Brilliant Wings dies to cut two small and two large butterflies from Beauty of the Earth DSP.  Apply a thin line of liquid glue or glue dots to centers of the two small butterflies and one of the large butterflies, and adhere to card front as shown.

Inside

5. Adhere Bumblebee card stock to inside of card.

6. Adhere plain white card stock over Bumblebee.

7. Apply a thin line of liquid glue or glue dots to center of remaining large butterfly and adhere to inside.

That's it!  The most time-consuming part of this card was cutting 40 sets of butterflies for the card kits and finished cards.  Cutting the rest of the pieces parts and actually assembling the card took almost no time at all!

NOTE:  Since the card bases and envelopes used to make this card are no longer available, the card could easily be adapted to a regular A2-sized card by simply changing a few measurements and then covering the card front with designer series paper.

Alternatively, Stampin' Up! has the same size cards featuring a new design in the current Annual Catalog (Hand-Penned Memories & More Cards & Envelopes, item #155501, $10).  And in the new 2022 January-June Mini Catalog, Stampin' Up! is featuring a new cards & envelopes pack which includes ten cards of this size, plus ten 3-1/4" x 4-1/4" cards (see Heart & Home Memories & More Cards & Envelopes, item #157958, $10).
