Happy Anniversary (Hearts & Flowers)

A friend recently asked me to come up with a couple of anniversary card designs -- one for a friend's son, the other for the friend's daughters. This is the design I found for the daughters' cards.

Click on photo for closer look.

Many thanks to Amy Koenders (https://stampwithamyk.com/) for posting this design by Amy Struthers. My card is essentially the same, but with a few tweaks here and there.

This card uses all Stampin' Up! materials (with one tiny additional item) -- some current, some retired, some soon-to-be-retired, and even some soon-to-be-released!

* Many Mates (Happy Anniversary) **

"a little note" card (Stamp Camp North 4/2021)

Fun fold cards was the theme for April Stamp Camp North, so this was my choice.  We also made this card earlier this year in my Women's Connection class using different colors (see photo below).

Many thanks to Bonnie O’Neill (www.bonniestamped.com) for posting this basic card design.

Women's Connection Version

For the Women's Connection card, all materials are the same, except Bermuda Bay card stock was used in place of Rococo Rose, and Pool Party card stock was used in place of Blushing Bride.  Also, the center of the daisy was regular white card stock brushed with Wink of Stella.

Hope you enjoy this fun fold card!

Yay! I'm Finally Recording YouTube Video Tutorials

Howdy, stampers!  I've finally bit the bullet and started recording YouTube card making video tutorials (about a year behind, but who's actually paying attention to time these days!?).

So far I've uploaded two videos.  I'm not totally familiar with finding videos on YouTube, so I honestly don't know if you can find them by searching for "Cathy Hansen" . . . or "Card Making with Cathy."  Both are very common names/titles, so unless you know exactly what you're looking for, you likely will become frustrated with all of the other results that appear.

You can, however, find them by visiting WC Card Making with Cathy and clicking on the YouTube link in the two most recent posts.  (There's also a link to WC Card Making with Cathy included near the top of this page.)

Quick disclaimer:  The reason I'm linking to these videos from my other site is because they are not related to my Stampin' Up! business; rather, they will include many of the cards that we're making in my weekly Women's Connection classes (not Stampin' Up! activities), and although I use many Stampin' Up! supplies, I also use lots of products from other companies, as well as items of unknown origin from my stash.

If you view my videos, I'd love to hear what you think.  Since I'm just starting out, I welcome and any all constructive comments that will help me to improve my movie-making skills.

Flowers For You! (March Rose Hill Card Kits To Go)

This is my card design for Rose Hill March Card Kits To Go.  Very easy, no-stamping card using True Love Designer Series Paper from the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog.

Materials (all are by Stampin’ Up!):
* Black card stock (8-1/2” x 5-1/2”, scored at 4-1/4”; 4-1/4” x 3-1/4”)
* Crushed Curry OR Bumblebee card stock: 5-1/4” x 4” (2 pcs – one for inside)
* True Love Designer Series Paper (4” x 3”; flower cut-outs)
* Vellum card stock (2-3/4” x 2-3/4” for die cut)
* White card stock (5” x 3-3/4” – inside)
* Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder
* Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies (retired)
* Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels
* Garden Green and Bumblebee or Daffodil Delight Stampin' Write Markers

Assembly:

1. Fold black card base at 4-1/4” score line.
2. Emboss one piece of Crushed Curry or Bumblebee card stock with Tasteful Textile embossing folder.
3. Adhere embossed card stock to card front.
4. Adhere 4-1/4” x 3-1/4” black card stock over Bumblebee card stock (equal distance from top and sides).
5. Adhere Designer Paper over black card stock.
6. Use die to cut swirly circle from vellum card stock. Use liquid glue or glue dots to adhere bottom portion of vellum die cut near bottom of Designer Paper.
7. Cut flowers from Designer Paper; use markers to color centers and leaves. Use foam tape or Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere flowers over vellum die cut.
8. Attach self-adhesive rhinestones randomly.

9. Inside: Adhere color card stock to inside; adhere white card stock to color card stock. Cut a partial flower from edge of Designer Paper and adhere at edge of white card stock.

Thanks to Heike Hülle-Bolze (https://papier-kult.de) for this layout idea.

Stampin' Up! 2020-2021 Annual Catalog Coming to an End Soon!

Can you believe it's been almost a year since the last Annual Catalog was released?!  Well, to be fair, it's only been 10 months, but this is a short 11-month year for Stampin' Up! as the company transitions into a new catalog time-frame.

In any event, the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog is coming to an end very soon -- the last date to order is May 3; the new 2021-2022 Annual Catalog will go live on May 4.

If there is anything in the current catalog you really, really want, check out the Last-Chance Product list on my Cathy's Craft Room: Stampin' Up! Current Promotions page to see if it's one of the items to be retired.  Some of these items are on sale; all items will be gone after May 3.  (Note that some of these items are already sold out!)

You're welcome to visit my Stampin' Up! page (Cathy Hansen, Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator) to place your online orders (please apply the Current Host Code shown to the right of this post if you're ordering less than $150 worth of merchandise).  You also can contact me to place your orders.  During these last few weeks of the catalog period I will be placing orders immediately upon receipt in an attempt to get your requested items while they're still available.

Thanks!
