Life Is Better with Ice Cream Pop-up Card (Stamp Camp North May 2021)

Howdy, stampers!  This month for Stamp Camp North card kits, we decided to do pop-up cards.  This is my fun, summery card.

Below is the materials list, and some basic instructions.  

Paper

* Blackberry Bliss card stock: 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" scored at 4-1/4" for card base

* White card stock: 5-1/4" x 4" for first layer

* Bermuda Bay card stock: 5-1/8" x 3-7/8" for second layer

* Ice Cream Corner Designer Series Paper***: 3-5/8" x 2-1/2" for third layer (top)

* White card stock: 3-5/8" x 2-3/4" textured with Brick and Mortar 3D embossing folder for third layer (bottom)

* Banner:

        Blackberry Bliss card stock: 4-1/2" x 3/4" trimmed at each end with Banners Pick-a-Punch

        White card stock: 4-1/4" x 1/2" trimmed at each end with Banners Pick-a-Punch

* Ice Cream Cone:

        Ice Cream Corner Designer Series Paper***: scraps for Ice Cream Cone Builder Punch

Inside:

* White card stock: 5-1/4" x 4"

* Blackberry Bliss card stock: 3-1/2" x 3" scored at 1/2", 2" and 2-1/2" along 3" side

Inside Sentiment:

* Blackberry Bliss card stock: 2-1/4" x 1" (mat)

* White card stock: 2" x 3/4"

Other

* Ice Cream Corner Sprinkles***

* Wink of Stella Glitter Brush

NOTE: Sentiments were computer-generated.

Assembly

1.        Adhere 5-1/4” x 4” white card stock to card front.

2.        Adhere Bermuda Bay card stock over white card stock.

3.        Adhere ice cream paper 1/8” from top and sides of Bermuda Bay card stock.

4.        Adhere white brick wall card stock 1/8” from bottom and sides of Bermuda Bay card stock, overlapping ice cream paper.

5.        Adhere sentiment to Blackberry Bliss banner.  Adhere to card front covering seam where ice cream paper and white brick wall card stock meet.

6.        Adhere cone over brick wall; use adhesive foam to adhere ice cream over cone.

7.        Use tiny dots of liquid glue to attach sprinkles randomly on brick wall white card stock.

8.        OPTIONAL:  Apply Wink of Stella glitter to ice cream and sprinkles.

 

Inside Assembly

1.        Adhere white card stock to inside of card.

2.        Pop-up Assembly

Fold 3” x 3-1/2” Blackberry Bliss card stock at 2” scoreline.
Remove adhesive backing and flip piece over so adhesive is facing card, line up opposite end against score line, and press down to adhere.
Remove second adhesive backing, and close card to adhere.
When you reopen the card, like magic, you will have a pop-up platform on which to adhere your triple-decker ice cream cone!

3.        Assemble ice cream cone and adhere to pop-up platform.

4.        Adhere sentiment to coordinating mat, and adhere to inside as shown above.
