New Card Design!!!

Howdy, Stampers!  Seriously?!  TWO MONTHS since my last post?  That's incredible.  I've been very very busy . . . adding several more activities to my schedule, including a new weekly class every Friday morning.  This class came about very suddenly, and I've been scrambling to keep up with it.  As a result, I've had little time to update my blog.  I do always try to keep the calendar on track, though, so you know where I will be teaching my next class or participating in a stamp camp or craft sale.

Now that I'm starting to get into a rhythm with the new weekly classes, I'm hoping to find time to post more often.

Please note that many of the classes I'm now doing are not Stampin' Up! activities, so I'm using lots of other materials from my stash in addition to those from Stampin' Up!  I will begin posting some of my newer cards very soon, and will be sure to let you know whether or not the ingredients are from current Stampin' Up! catalogs.

So let's make a card!

This is one I made for a 2019 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog swap.  The card features a new embossing folder as well as paper from a beautiful new 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper Pack - Feels Like Frost.  Not your traditional winter colors, this one is done in the new Purple Posy card stock -- a very pale heather color which gives this card a chilly, frosty feel.

Notes:

* The embossing folder was used on the 5" x 3-3/4" Purple Posy card stock and the edges were sponged with Basic Gray ink before adhering it to the front of the card.

* Although it's difficult to see on this photo, the branches on the Designer Series Paper were traced with thin lines of liquid glue, and then the Ice Stampin' Glitter was sprinkled over it to give it a chilly sparkle.

* The bow was painted with a Wink of Stella glitter pen to give it a shimmery effect, and a silver silver metallic pearl was added over the knot.

* The sentiment was stamped with Basic Gray rather than black, to keep with the soft, frosty feel of the card.  I hope you enjoy this design.

Thanks again, folks, for having patience with me while I work out the kinks in my new schedule!
