Simple Spring Card

Today's card features the beautiful Feels Like Frost 6" x 6" Specialty Designer Series Paper featured in the 2019 Holiday Catalog. The paper is currently unavailable, but if you don't have any left from that catalog, not to worry -- Stampin' Up! tells us it's returning in the 2020 Holiday Catalog!!! And Stampin' Up!'s new catalog schedule indicates that this publication will be available in July rather than September as in the past!

Stamp Set
* Heartfelt Blooms (Stampin' Up! 2018 Sale-a-Bration Set)

Paper
* Highland Heather card stock (8-1/2" x 5-1/2"; 5" x 4-1/4")
* Gray Granite card stock (5-1/4" x 2-3/4); scraps for sprigs and label)
* Purple Posy card stock (5-1/4" x 2-1/2"; scraps for leaves)
* Feels Like Frost 6" x 6" Specialty Designer Series Paper ("DSP") (5-1/4" x 2-1/4")
* Whisper White card stock (scrap for label)

* Gray Granite Classic Stampin' Pad

* Basket Weave 3D Embossing Folder

Assembly
(Unless otherwise indicated, SNAIL Adhesive used to assemble card.)

1. Score 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card stock at 4-1/4"; fold away from score line to create card base.

2. Use embossing folder to add texture to 5-1/4" x 4" card stock; adhere to card front.

3. Adhere 5-1/4" x 2-3/4" Gray Granite card stock about 1/2" from left edge of textured card stock.

4. Center and adhere 5-1/4" x 2-1/2" Purple Posy card stock over Gray Granite card stock.

5. Center and adhere DSP over Purple Posy card stock.

6. Punch two Sprig shapes from scraps of Gray Granite card stock; use a few drops of Liquid Glue to adhere as shown over DSP and card stock.

7. Punch two Leaf shapes from Purple Posy card stock; paint with Wink of Stella Glitter Brush; use a few drops of Liquid Glue to adhere as shown over Sprig shapes.

8. Punch Timeless Label from Gray Granite card stock; stamp sentiment on scrap of Whisper White card stock and cut out with Label Me Fancy punch; adhere to Gray Granite label. Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere label over Sprig and Leaf shapes as shown. (NOTE: The sentiment I used was from a retired stamp set, but you can use any sentiment that fits within the punch shape.)

The weather in Denver is so iffy this time of year -- one day it's in the 60s or 70s, and the next we're in the middle of a full-on blizzard! So this card is perfect -- combining the frosty image of the DSP with the cool springy pale purple colors. I hope you enjoy this card design.
