Butterfly Gala Card

Hi, stampers!  As promised, this evening's post is my card from the 2019 Occasions/Sale-a-Bration Demo Swap from which I've been sharing pictures the past three days.  This card uses several items from the Butterfly Gala Suite on page 35 of the 2019 Occasions Catalog.

Once you've created the piece above, adhere it over the 5-1/8" x 3-7/8" DSP as shown in sample, lining up the bottom right hand corners.  Adhere both thicknesses of DSP to front of card.  (NOTE:  I glued my flaps down, but you don't necessarily need to do that.)

3. Stamp sentiment and small butterfly antennae as shown on scrap of Whisper White card stock; cut out with Everyday Label Punch.  Use brush end of coordinating Stampin' Write Marker to trace a fine line around the edge of the label.  Adhere to front of card as shown with Stampin' Dimensionals.

4. Use the Butterfly Duet Punch to cut one large and two small butterflies from DSP; also punch one large and two small butterflies from coordinating card stock.  Fold wings back and glue DSP butterflies to coordinating card stock butterflies with a thin line of liquid glue down the center.  For large butterfly, cut two pieces of Black Baker's Twine and glue them to the bottom of the butterfly for the antennae before gluing the butterfly to the card near the top of the opening as shown.  Adhere one of the small butterflies to the label, lining it up with the stamped antennae.  Stamp the antennae for the second small butterfly near the top flap as shown, and adhere the butterfly to the flap, lining up with antennae.  (NOTE:  I used a thin line of liquid glue down the center of each butterfly to adhere them to the card, but you also could use Glue Dots if you prefer.)

I made several of these cards for the swap in each of the 5 colors of Gingham Gala DSP.

I hope you enjoyed this card.  I had great fun punching out and selecting the different colors of butterflies to attach to my cards.
