Countdown to Christmas Day 12 - Candy Cane Reindeer

Many thanks to my friend Shannon Bedingfield, another Stampin' Up! demonstrator, for this cute idea!  What a great quick and easy stocking stuffer!

Click on photo for closer look.
Materials

Paper
* Crumb Cake card stock (11" x 2")
* Red Glimmer Paper (scrap for nose)
* Whisper White card stock (scraps for eyes)
* Basic Black card stock (scraps for eyes)

Accessories and Tools
* Scalloped Tag Topper Punch
* Owl Builder Punch
* 1/2" Circle Punch
* White Chalk Marker
* 3/8" Ribbon (about 3")
* Silver Baker's Twine (about 6")
* Adhesive: Multipurpose Liquid Glue; Glue Dots

Miscellaneous Items
* 2 Candy Canes (about 5-3/4")

Instructions

1. Score 11" x 2" card stock at 2-1/2" and 5-1/4".  Fold into a "Z" on score lines.  Punch both ends of card stock with Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.

2. Use Glue Dots to adhere candy canes to base as shown just above 5-1/4" score line.  Apply liquid glue or other strong adhesive along each side of next section of card stock; fold back up over candy canes and adhere edges to top section to create pocket.

3.  Use Owl Builder Punch to punch two large circles from Whisper White card stock; punch two smaller circles from Basic Black card stock.  Use Glue Dots or Liquid Glue to adhere circles to front flap, creating eyes.  Use Chalk Marker to add highlights to black parts of eyes.

4. Punch 1/2" Circle from Red Glimmer Paper.  Use Glue Dots or Liquid Glue to adhere to front flap as shown for nose.

5. Thread 3/8" ribbon through hole in top of tag; secure by tying two ends together with Silver Baker's Twine.  Tie ends of twine into a knot or bow as shown.

That's it!  Hope you enjoy this cute idea!
