Instructions
NOTE:  SNAIL Adhesive used to assemble card unless otherwise noted.

1. Score 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card stock at 4-1/4"; fold away from card stock to create card base.

2. Use Big Shot and Embossing Folder to add leaves texture to Real Red card stock.  Adhere to front of card.

3. Stamp takeout box image on 4-3/4" x 3-1/2" Whisper White card stock and also on front of a Post-it Note.  Cut image out of Post-it Note and adhere to front of card over stamped image.  Stamp chop sticks over Post-it Note as shown.  Remove Post-it Note and you will see that chop sticks appear to be lying behind the takeout box.

This technique using the Post-it Note is called "masking."

4. Stamp fortune cookie near lower right corner of card stock and on front of a Post-it Note.  Cut image image out of Post-it Note and adhere to front of card over stamped image.  Stamp another fortune cookie over Post-it Note, slightly higher and to the right.  Remove Post-it Note and you will see that the second cookie appears to be behind the first one.  Stamp one more fortune cookie and a fortune on scrap of Whisper White card stock; use scissors to cut out images.

5. Use Basic Gray Watercolor Pencil to color in shaded areas on takeout box; use Real Red Watercolor Pencil to color heart on box; use Daffodil Delight and Early Espresso Watercolor Pencils to color in fortune cookies.  Use Blender Pen to blend and smooth colors.

On my sample I also used the Basic Gray Watercolor Pencil to sketch in a line defining the background, but we didn't do this in class.  The card on the board below shows what it looks like without the line.

6. Adhere stamped Whisper White card stock to front of card; use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the fortune cookie cut out of Whisper White card stock over first two cookies.  Tuck left edge of fortune under fortune cookie and adhere with Liquid Glue or Glue Dot.

That's it!

Hope you enjoy this card!
