All Occasion Card (June 2018)

Good morning!  Today I'm bringing you a card design that uses some of the new Stampin' Up! colors and papers.  This was the card stampers made at my table at Rose Hill Stamp Camp on June 23.

Click on image for closer look.

Materials

Stamp Sets
* Petal Palette
* Lemon Zest (Happy Birthday)

Paper
* Basic Black card stock (8-1/2" x 5-1/2"; 5-1/4" x 1-3/4"; about 4" x 3" for die cut)
* Mint Macaron, Calypso Coral, or So Saffron card stock (5-1/4" x 4")
* Whisper White card stock (3" x 3/4" for label; about 3" x 3" for flowers)* Garden Impressions 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper ("DSP") (5-1/4" x 1-1/2")

Ink
* Memento Pad
* Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker
* See Color Key below for other markers used

Accessories and Tools
* Big Shot Die Cutting Machine
* Basket Weave Embossing Folder
* Petals and More Thinlits Dies
* Wink of Stella Glitter Brush
* Adhesives:  SNAIL Adhesive; Multipurpose Liquid Glue; Stampin' Dimensionals

Instructions
(SNAIL Adhesive used to assemble card unless otherwise indicated.)

1. Score 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card stock at 4-1/4"; fold away from scoreline to create card base.

2. Use Big Shot and embossing folder to add texture to 5-1/4" x 4" color card stock.  Adhere to front of card.

3. Adhere 5-1/4" x 1-3/4" Basic Black card stock over embossed card stock as shown.  Adhere DSP over Basic Black card stock.

4. Use Big Shot and detailed leaves die to cut leaf spray from Basic Black card stock.  Adhere over DSP with tiny dots of Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  (HINT:  To get crisp cuts for detailed dies, use the Precision Base Plate in place of the bottom Standard Cutting Pad.  If your paper is sticking inside the die, place a thin piece of clear vinyl -- I cut pieces of the packaging envelope from the dies and embossing folder -- between the die and the card stock.  The paper practically falls out of the die!)

5. Use Memento Pad to stamp sentiment on Whisper White card stock.  Cut out with Big Shot and label die.  Use brush end of Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker to apply ink on edges of label.  Adhere to card as shown with Stampin' Dimensionals.

6. Use Memento Ink to stamp flower image on Whisper White card stock.  Color flowers and leaves with Stampin' Write Markers, leaving centers of flowers white (see Color Key below).  Apply Wink of Stella glitter to center of each flower.  Cut out image with flower die.  Color all blank spaces, including edge outside flower image, with Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker.  Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere to front of card overlapping label.  (NOTE:  DO NOT apply dimensionals where the flowers overlap label.)

Color Key for card stock and Stampin' Write Markers (from left to right as pictured above):
* Card 1: Mint Macaron card stock; leaves: Mint Macaron; flowers: Balmy Blue
* Card 2: Calypso Coral card stock; leaves: Pear Pizzazz; flowers: Grapefruit Grove
* Card 3: So Saffron card stock; leaves: Soft Seafoam; flowers: So Saffron

That's it!  This is a quick and easy all-occasion card to add to your stash.

Happy 4th of July!

Hope you are all enjoying a fun and safe 4th of July holiday!  I'm having "fun" cleaning up my craft room and trying to make some semblance of order out of this mess!  (June was a busy month class and stamp camp-wise, and you can tell from the aftermath left in my room.)

Beginning tomorrow (July 5), I plan to begin catching up on all the things I didn't have time to post during the past month.  Be sure to check back often . . . or better yet, sign up to follow me by e-mail so you'll know every time I add a new project!
