Countdown to Christmas Day 17 - Christmas Quilt Block

Today's post uses the awesome Quilt Builder Framelits Dies.  The dies and coordinating Quilt Top embossing folder make a beautiful quilted looking square.  Again, I used nontraditional colors.

SPOILER ALERT:  Tomorrow's post will show another way to use this die set to make a cute card that's NOT a quilt block!

Instructions
(Unless otherwise indicated, SNAIL Adhesive used for assembly.)

1. Score 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card stock at 4-1/4"; fold away from score line to create card base.

2. Adhere 5-1/4" x 4" Whisper White card stock to front of card.  Adhere 4-15/16" x 3-11/16" Basic Black card stock over Whisper White card stock.

3. Layer the two pieces of DSP one on top of the other and use Big Shot and die to cut inside pieces of quilt block through both thicknesses.  Cut another set of inside pieces from Wild Wasabi card stock.

4. Cut two gold foil quilt block outlines.  (NOTE:  To cut this shape, you will need to line up quilt block square die inside larger square die.)  Cut one treble clef from gold foil.

5. Use tiny dots of Liquid Glue to adhere gold foil quilt outline to 3" x 3" Basic Black card stock.  Use Liquid Glue to adhere quilt block pieces as shown in photo.

6. Use Big Shot and Embossing Folder to add stitching lines to assembled block.

7. Use Liquid Glue to adhere second gold foil outline over first one.  (NOTE:  You don't necessarily need to add this, but I didn't like the look of the embossed stitches on the gold foil, so I opted to add the clean, non-embossed piece to cover it.)

8. Adhere assembled quilt block to 3-1/8" x 3-1/8" Whisper White card stock.  Adhere to front of card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

9. Use VersaMark to stamp sentiment on 3" x 1-3/16" Basic Black card stock.  Emboss with Gold Embossing Powder and Heat Tool.  Adhere to 3-1/8" x 1-5/16" Whisper White card stock and then adhere to front of card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

10.  Use Liquid Glue to adhere treble clef to card as shown.

I hope you enjoy this card!
