You've Got This

This is a thank you card I made for the demos at Front Range stampers back in June.  I don't think the photo shows this, but the flower shimmers a little (thanks to some liberally applied clear Wink of Stella).

Materials

Stamp Sets
* You've Got This (Flower and Background)
* One Big Meaning ("A Little Thanks")

Paper
* Whisper White Thick card stock (8-1/2" x 5-1/2"; about 2" x 1/2" for banner)
* Basic Black card stock (4-3/4" x 3-1/2")
* Flirty Flamingo card stock (4-5/8" x 3-3/8")
* Whisper White (regular) card stock (4-1/2" x 3")

Ink
* Basic Black Archival Ink
* Flirty Flamingo Classic Stampin' Pad
* Daffodil Delight Watercolor Pencil
* Old Olive Watercolor Pencil
* Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker

Accessories and Tools
* Aqua Painter (filled with water)
* Classic Label Punch
* Adhesives: SNAIL Adhesive; Mini Stampin' Dimensionals

Instructions
(NOTE:  SNAIL Adhesive used throughout unless otherwise indicated.)

1.  Score 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" Whisper White thick card stock at 4-1/4"; fold away from score line to create card base.

2. Adhere Basic Black card stock to card front; adhere Flirty Flamingo card stock over Basic Black.

3. Use Flirty Flamingo ink to stamp background image on 4-1/2" x 3" Whisper White card stock; stamp flower image with Basic Black ink.  Allow ink to dry completely, then use Daffodil Delight watercolor pencil to color center of flower and Old Olive to color stem and leaves.  Use an Aqua Painter with a damp (not drippy wet) brush to blend colors.  After colors have dried, apply clear Wink of Stella to flower petals to give them a slight shimmer.  Adhere to card over Flirty Flamingo card stock.

4. Stamp sentiment on scrap of Whisper White Thick card stock, and punch out with Classic Label punch.  Lightly outline label by running the brush end of Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker around edge of label.  (NOTE:  Using the side of the brush for this step prevents the brush from slipping and messing up the label.)  Adhere to card with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.

This is another one of those cards that can basically be used for any occasion.  Very simple and quick to make (even with the minimal amount of drying time required).
