CELEBRATE!!! (Rose Hill Stamp Camp Card 2-25-2017)

Happy Sunday morning!  I'm pleased to share with you today the card we made at my table at Rose Hill Stamp Camp yesterday.  We had a record turnout and everyone had a great time making some beautiful cards!  (Will share all of them with you in tomorrow's post.)

Materials

Stamp Sets
* Happy Celebrations (2017 Occasions Mini Catalog)
* Bunch of Blossoms

Paper
* Sweet Sugarplum card stock (8-1/2" x 5-1/2")
* Whisper White card stock (5-1/4" x 4" - 2 pieces)
* Sahara Sand card stock (5-1/8" x 3-7/8")
* Blooms and Bliss Designer Series Paper ("DSP") (5-1/8" x 2-1/2")

Ink
* Sweet Sugarplum Classic Stampin' Ink
* Tip Top Taupe Classic Stampin' Ink
* Whisper White Craft Stampin' Ink
* Rich Razzleberry Classic Stampin' Ink

Accessories and Tools
* Stampin' Sponge
* Sweet Sugarplum 3/8" Ruched Ribbon (about 6-1/4")
* Linen Thread (about 15-1/2" + enough to make triple-loop bow)
* Pearls Embellishments (smallest size)
* Adhesives:  SNAIL Adhesive, Glue Dots

Instructions
(SNAIL Adhesive used throughout unless otherwise indicated)

1. Score 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" Sweet Sugarplum card stock at 4-1/4"; fold away from score line to create card base.

2. Adhere 5-1/4" x 4" Whisper White card stock to front of card.

3. Use Whisper White ink to stamp "celebrate" (Happy Celebrations) near top right of Sahara Sand card stock; clean stamp and repeat with Sweet Sugarplum ink over first image, shifting it about 1/16" to the left and up so a tiny amount of white shows at the right and bottom edges of the image.

4. Adhere DSP at bottom of Sahara Sand card stock.  (The reason we're adding it before stamping the flowers is to provide a guide so you don't cover up the flowers with the DSP.)

5. Use Whisper White to stamp the three small star-shaped flowers to the left of "celebrate"; use Sweet Sugarplum to stamp round-ish small flower over the Whisper White flower; use Tip Top Taupe to stamp the small sprinkle randomly around the flowers and the word.  (These stamps are all in the Bunch of Blossoms set.)

6. Use Stampin' Sponge to apply Tip Top Taupe ink around the edge of the Sahara Sand/DSP piece.

7. Adhere ribbon across top edge of DSP; fold edges to the back and secure with adhesive.

8. Use a glue dot to attach Linen Thread to back of card stock over the ribbon at one side; wrap around card stock twice and secure to the back with adhesive.

9. Adhere Sahara Sand card stock/DSP piece over Whisper White card stock on front of card.

10.  Apply self-adhesive tiny pearls in centers of flowers; make a small three-loop bow from Linen Thread and attach with a glue dot over the ribbon/thread as shown.

Don't forget the inside!!!!

11. On second piece of Whisper White 5-1/4" x 4" card stock, use Rich Razzleberry ink to stamp sentiment (Bunch of Blossoms); stamp flowers and sprinkles the same as in Step 5 above.  NOTE:  It's kind of difficult to see the small Whisper White flowers after you've stamped them on white card stock, but if you look at them from an angle where the light shines on them, it will be easier to find them.)  Adhere card stock to inside of card.

Hope you enjoy this card.  It was so fun to make!

Front Range Stampers Swap Cards (2/20/2017)

Since our January Front Range Stampers demo meeting was canceled due to adverse weather conditions, I saved my tool pouch card (Masculine Birthday Card) for the February swap.  Below are the make and takes we made, as well as the cards that were swapped by the other demos at Monday night's meeting.

Angela Zaba Make and Take
NOTE:  I didn't embellish mine as much as the original design.  Angela added triple rows of the swirly thing
(So Succulent stamp set) in each of the corners and at the ends of the bottom piece.
I told her she's much more flamboyant than I am . . . exuberant, confident, and stylish.

Ann Lohmeyer Make and Take
This card was done with just the stamps included in the High Tide stamp set (2017 Occasions Mini Catalog).
I previously had not planned to purchase this set, but after seeing how quickly this card came together,
I'm having second thoughts . . . (sigh).

. . . and here are the swap cards.

Stamp Your Art Out Cards (January 21, 2017)

Happy Presidents' Day!

This morning I'm sharing with you the cards made at Stamp Your Art Out Stamp Camp in Castle Rock on January 21.  These are some very cool cards made by some very talented Stampin' Up! demonstrators -- the first time I've met most of them.  It was a fun day -- including the drive!  (I love the drive going south to Castle Rock -- once you get past the metro Denver area, the highway opens out into some beautiful rolling hills and mini-mountains.)

The two cards I made are the same as the one I made at Stamp Camp North and Rose Hill Stamp Camp, and I have previously shared with you both of those cards and instructions.  So below are photos of the cards made by the other four demonstrators.  Enjoy!!!

Thank You Card (Open House Make & Take)

Hi, folks!  I'm back from a much-needed vacation, refreshed and ready to get back on track!!!

Today's project is the Thank You card we made at my February 4 grand reopening celebration.   This card uses two items from the current Sale-a-Bration Brochure (each available for free with $50 minimum purchase), as well as some Designer Series Paper from the 2017 Occasions Mini Catalog.

Click on image for closer look.
Materials

Stamp Set
* So Very Much (2017 SAB Brochure)

Paper
* Tip Top Taupe card stock (8-1/2" x 5-1/2")
* Whisper White card stock (5-1/4" x 4")
* Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper ("DSP") (4" x 2") (2017 Occasions Catalog)

Ink
* Tip Top Taupe Classic Stampin' Pad

Accessories and Tools
* Stampin' Sponge
* 3/8" Metallic Ribbon - Gold (2017 SAB Brochure) (at least 5")
* Bow Paper Clips Embellishments
* Adhesives: SNAIL Adhesive, Glue Dot

Step-by-Step Instructions
(Unless otherwise indicated, SNAIL Adhesive was used throughout)

1. Score 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card stock at 4-1/4"; fold away from score line to create card base.

2. Stamp Thank You near top of Whisper White card stock.

3. Adhere DSP at bottom of Whisper White card stock below stamped image.

4. Sponge Tip Top Taupe ink around outer edge of card stock/DSP.

5. Attach paper clip to ribbon and use a Glue Dot to adhere to top edge of DSP.  Wrap ribbon ends around to back of card stock and adhere with Glue Dots or SNAIL Adhesive.

6. Adhere Whisper White card stock to front of card.

HOW EASY WAS THAT?!  A totally quick and beautiful card.

MAILING TIP:  Sometimes embellishments like this paper clip tear the envelope as they are run through postage machines.  To avoid this, cut an extra piece of 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" card stock and slip it into the envelope in front of the card.  Assuming you don't have a 5-page letter stashed inside the card, this one extra piece of card stock won't add enough weight to require additional postage.

Enjoy!
