* Whisper White card stock (5-3/8" x 4-1/8"; 5" x 3-3/4"; about 1/4 page for snowflakes)

* Adhesives:  Glue Dot; SNAIL Adhesive

Instructions:
(NOTE:  Unless otherwise indicated, SNAIL Adhesive was used to assemble this card.)

1. Score 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" Wisteria Wonder card stock at 4-1/4"; fold away from scoreline to create card.

2. Adhere 5-3/8" x 4-1/4" Whisper White card stock to card front.

3. Adhere 5-1/8" x 3-7/8" Wisteria Wonder card stock to card front over Whisper White.

4. Use Big Shot and embossing folder to add snowflake embossing to 5" x 3-3/4" Whisper White card stock; adhere to card front over Wisteria Wonder card stock.

5. Use Wisteria Wonder ink to stamp two small snowflake images; one of the next size snowflake; and one of the next size (we won't use the largest snowflake in this set).  Use Stampin' Sponge to apply Wisteria Wonder ink around edges of all snowflakes.

6. Punch one 3/4" Circle from Very Vanilla card stock.  Use Stampin' Sponge to apply Wisteria Wonder ink lightly around outside edge; use Sponge Dauber to apply two small circles of Pink Pirouette ink for cheeks.  Draw two eyes with the Black marker, and adhere to center of one of the small snowflakes.

7. Building fairy from the bottom up, starting with the largest of the three remaining snowflakes.  Fold snowflake in half.  Fold medium-sized snowflake in half over the first snowflake . . . move snowflake up about 1/2" and adhere the back of the snowflakes together.  Fold smallest of the three snowflakes over medium snowflake . . . move snowflake up about 1/2" and adhere backs together.  This creates the body of the fairy.  Adhere the body to the bottom portion of the small snowflake, just under the face.

8.  Now go crazy with Rhinestones!  Place them wherever you like on and around the fairy.

9.  Finally, make a small bow with the silver ribbon and adhere at the top of the fairy body with a Glue Dot.

Is this just fun or what?!  My sister said she couldn't help but smile when she saw this card!  Hope you enjoy it too!

Instructions:

Bag:
The small gift bag pictured above was made exactly the same way as the bag with the Pansy Punch Rose at my July Open House.  (Click here to view that project.)  The only difference is that instead of scoring the Designer Series Paper at 1-1/4"; 1-5/8" and 2" and then at 4-1/4"; 4-5/8" and 5".  This gives you a slightly wider bag that will accommodate the 2" gift tag . . . or a gift card.

For this bag I used a sheet of paper from last year's Designer Series Paper Stack, but you can use any DSP and cut it to 6-1/2" x 4-1/2".

Embellishments:  Use the Big Shot and Flower Fair Framelits Die to cut three five-petal flowers -- one from Wild Wasabi card stock; one from Cherry Cobbler card stock; and one from Real Red card stock.  Use the Stampin' Sponge to apply Soft Suede ink around the edges of all three flower shapes.  Use a Bone Folder to slightly bend the flowers back (use it like you would use scissors to curl ribbon).  Use a drop of Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere Cherry Cobbler flower over Wild Wasabi, and adhere Real Red Flower over Cherry Cobbler flower, offsetting petals slightly with each layer.  Cut a small flower from Gold Glimmer Paper and adhere to center of flower with a drop of Tombow.  Adhere finished flower to front of bag with a Stampin' Dimensional.  Stamp "just for you" image on Whisper White card stock; punch out with Artisan Label Punch.  Use sponge to apply Soft Suede ink around edges.  Tuck tag under flower and adhere to front of bag with SNAIL Adhesive.

Tag 1 (Tree):
Use Scalloped Tag Topper punch to punch one end of the Whisper White card stock; round bottom edges of tag with Corner Rounder Punch.  Use Stampin' Sponge to apply Soft Suede ink around edges of tag.  Cut a small strip of Soft Suede card stock about 3/8" wide and adhere to front of tag at bottom center.  Cut a triangle 3" tall and 1-3/4" wide at bottom from Designer Series Paper, and adhere to front of tag over Soft Suede strip.  Cut a second triangle (same size) from Vellum card stock, and adhere over first tag.  Dab small amounts of Cherry Cobbler and Gold Dazzling Details randomly for tree ornaments.  Use Gold ink to stamp round image on Vellum card stock; emboss with Gold Embossing Powder.  Punch out with 1" Circle punch; punch a small hole near edge with 1/8" Circle Punch.  Cut about a 16" length of Baker's Twine.  Fold in half and thread through hole in circle tag and through larger tag.  Knot ends together.

Tag 2 (Reindeer):
Use Scalloped Tag Topper punch to punch one end of the Whisper White card stock; round bottom edges of tag with Corner Rounder Punch. Use Stampin' Sponge to apply Soft Suede ink around edges of tag.  Use Soft Suede marker to color in just the inside of the leaf image, being careful not to get ink on outline of leaf; stamp image about 3/4" down from top of tag.  Use Sahara Sand marker to color in antlers.  Using Owl Builder punch, cut an owl shape from Soft Suede card stock; trim off feet to create reindeer's head.  Punch two of the largest circles from Whisper White card stock; adhere to head with a tiny droplet of Tombow glue.  Punch two of the next largest circles from Basic Black card stock; adhere over Whisper White circles with a tiny droplet of Tombow glue.  Punch one more circle (same size as Basic Black) from Red Glimmer Paper.  Adhere under eyes with a tiny droplet of Tombow glue.  Use White Chalk marker to draw small highlights in eyes.  Cover black circles with Crystal Effects and allow to dry completely.  Use Basic Black marker to draw mouth.  Cut about 10" of Baker's Twine and fold in half.  Tie in a bow and adhere below head with a Glue Dot.  Cut about a 16" length of Baker's Twine. Fold in half and thread through hole in tag. Knot ends together.

That's it.  What a fun way to begin your planning for the upcoming Christmas Season!!!

Popsicle Card (Open House Make and Take 3)

New new Work of Art stamp set is so versatile!  You can use those shapes for just about anything!  In this case, we used the wide brush stroke image to make popsicles.

Click on image for closer look.
Materials:

Stamp Sets:
* Work of Art
* A Dozen Thoughts

Paper:
* Melon Mambo card stock (8-1/2" x 5-1/2")
* Tangerine Tango card stock (5-1/4" x 4"; 3-1/2" x 1-1/4")
* Whisper White card stock (5" x 3-3/4"; about 3" x 1" for die shape)
* Baked Brown Sugar card stock (scraps for popsicle sticks)

Ink:
* Daffodil Delight Classic Stampin' Pad
* Tangerine Tango Classic Stampin' Pad
* Melon Mambo Classic Stampin' Pad
* Perfect Plum Classic Stampin' Pad
* Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad
* Lost Lagoon Classic Stampin' Pad (optional for inside)

Accessories and Tools:
* Big Shot Die Cut Machine
* Chalk Talk Framelits Die
* Tangerine Tango Baker's Twine
* Word Window Punch
* Adhesives:  SNAIL Adhesive and Stampin' Dimensionals

Instructions:
(Note: Unless otherwise indicated, SNAIL Adhesive was used to assemble card.)

1. Score 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" Melon Mambo card stock at 4-1/4"; fold away from scoreline to create card.

2. Adhere Tangerine Tango 5-1/4" x 4" card stock to front of card.

3. Use Daffodil Delight ink to stamp wide brush stroke image about 1/2" from upper left corner of Whisper White card stock; clean stamp and repeat using Tangerine Tango ink to the right and overlapping first image by about 1/2"; repeat with Melon Mambo ink; and end with Perfect Plum ink.

4. Punch 4 popsicle sticks from Baked Brown Sugar card stock with Word Window Punch.  Adhere to front of card below brush stroke images (about 1/2" from bottom of card stock).  Adhere Whisper White card stock to front of card over Tangerine Tango card stock.

5. Use Memento pad to stamp "just because" on scrap of Whisper White card stock; cut out image with Big Shot and Chalk Talk Framelits die; adhere to 3-1/2" x 1-1/4" Tangerine Tango card stock.  Wrap Baker's Twine around card stock twice near left end, and tie in a bow.  Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere card stock to front of card, covering joining of brush strokes and popsicle sticks.

6. Optional:  Use Lost Lagoon ink to stamp one more wide brush stroke image inside card; add popsicle stick.  Since the joining of the brush stroke and the popsicle stick shows on this one, I cut the top of the popsicle stick to fit the bottom of the image, making it look like the popsicle stick is actually inside the popsicle.
I hope you enjoy this card . . . it's a fun summer all-occasion card. Credit for this cute card idea goes to Carol Lovenstein. She actually used the Happy Watercolor stamp set from the 2014 Occasions Mini Catalog, but the design was easily adapted to the Work of Art set. Pansy Punch Rose and Gift Bag (Open House Make and Take 1)

Thanks to everyone who came to my open house on Saturday.  It was great fun!!!

Over the next few days I'll be posting photos of each of the four make and take projects that were available for everyone to make, along with instructions.

The first is this sweet little gift bag -- the bag itself is made with one sheet of paper from the 4-1/2" x 6-1/2" All Abloom Designer Series Paper Stack.  The rose is made from the Pansy Punch.  Below are the materials list and instructions.

Click on image for a closer look.
Materials:

Stamp Set:
* Papillon Potpourri

Paper:
* Strawberry Slush card stock
* All Abloom Designer Series Paper Stack
* Vellum card stock

Ink:
* Mossy Meadow Classic Stampin' Pad

Accessories and Tools:
* Pansy Punch
* Small Butterfly Punch
* 1/8" Handheld Punch
* Strawberry Slush Thick Baker's Twine
* Clear Embossing Powder and Heat Tool
* Sticky Strip

Miscellaneous:
* Hot Glue Gun

Instructions:

Gift Bag:

1. Score 4-1/2" x 6-1/2" DSP at 1", 1-1/2", 2", 4", 4-1/2", and 5"; turn 1/4 turn and score at 1/2" from long edge.  Optional:  Cut a "fancy" edge along the top -- for this bag, I used the Stampin' Trimmer with Rotary Addition and the Small Scallop Cutting Blade.

2. Cut along solid lines on diagram and discard the areas shown.

3. Fold back and forth along vertical lines accordian style to create the side gussets.  Apply Sticky Strip on wrong side of paper (inside of bag) along 4-1/2" edge of narrow flap (the one to the left in this diagram).  Adhere over opposite flap.

4. Apply Sticky Strip to wrong side of 1/2" bottom flap; fold back and adhere over seamed side of bag to secure.

5. Use 1/8" Punch to make small circles in bag (punch through both thicknesses).  Thread Thick Baker's Twine through holes and tie in a bow in the front.

Pansy Punch Rose:

Supplies for the rose are 5 Pansies punched from any color of card stock (for the sample, I used Strawberry Slush), some kind of tool to wrap petals around (in the instructions, they used the handle of a paint brush), and a hot glue gun.

Click here for instructions to make the Pansy Punch Rose (thanks to a post by "Call Me Crafty" on Facebook).

After I made the rose, I attached it to the front of the bag with hot glue.

I used Mellow Moss ink to stamp the small butterfly from Papillon Potpourri on a small piece of Vellum card stock.  Since the regular Classic Stampin' Ink stays fairly moist for a while on the Vellum, I was able to add clear embossing powder and emboss it.  Then I punched it out with the Small Butterfly Punch and adhered it to the rose with a little dab of hot glue in the center.

Hope you enjoy this bag!  Watch for another version of the same bag in the near future . . . I'm making a slightly wider one to accommodate some 2" tags (or a gift card) for an upcoming class.
