You're My Type Card

This next card is the third project from my February classes -- it's totally simple to make using the Labels Collection Framelits dies that we've been using on some of the other cards . . . but this time instead of stacking the shapes on top of each other, we're using the outer piece as a frame -- a great way to save on card stock because you still have the center piece for another project!

Materials:

Stamp Set:
* You’re My Type (125564-w $17.95; 125650-c $13.95; set of 7)**

Paper:
* Crumb Cake card stock (120953; 8-1/2” x 11”, 24 sheets, $6.95) - 8-1/2” x 5-1/2”
* Basic Black card stock (121045, 8-1/2” x 11”, 24 sheets, $6.95) - 5-3/8” x 4-1/8”
* River Rock card stock (108640, 8-1/2” x 11”, 24 sheets, $6.95) - 8-1/2” x 5-1/2”; 5-1/4” x 4”
* Whisper White card stock (100730, 8-1/2” x 11”, 40 sheets, $8.50) - about 3-1/2” x 3” for die cut; 5-1/4” x 4” for inside

Ink:
* Jet Black Stazon Ink Pad (101406, $7.95; refill ink $3.95)

Stampin’ Up! Accessories:
* Big Shot Die Cutting Machine (113439, $99.95)
* Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder (117335; $7.95)
* Labels Collection Framelits Dies** (125598;6 dies; $26.95)
* SNAIL Adhesive (104332, 472”, $6.95; refill 104331, $4.50)
* Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755, $3.95)

** 2012 Occasions Mini Catalog (available through April 30)

Instructions:
(Unless otherwise indicated, SNAIL Adhesive is used throughout)

1. Score 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" Crumb Cake card stock at 4-1/4"; fold away from scoreline to create card. Adhere Basic Black card stock to front of card.

2. Emboss River Rock card stock with Big Shot and Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder; use Framelits shape (I used the third from the largest shape) to cut shape from center of embossed card stock. Use Tombow glue to adhere outside piece to front of card (save cutout shape for another project).

3. Stamp typewriter image and sentiment on Whisper White card stock; use Big Shot and Framelits die (I used the third from the smallest size) to cut out shape. Adhere to center of card in cutout area.

That's it! How easy was that?! And this versatile card can be used for either men or woman for pretty much any occasion depending on what sentiment you use! It's also a very basic card, so you could add embellishments to fancy it up a bit if that's your style.

** 2012 Sale-a-Bration Brochure (available with qualifying purchase through March 31)

Instructions:
(Unless otherwise indicated, I used SNAIL Adhesive throughout)

1. Score 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" Lucky Limeade card stock at 4-1/4"; fold away from scoreline to create card.

2. Use Stampin' Write Markers to color rubber stamp to coordinate with DSP; stamp on Very Vanilla card stock and cut out shape with Framelits Die (I used the second from the smallest size); cut another shape from Calypso Coral card stock (I used the third from the smallest size).

3. Use Petal Cone Die to cut banner shape from Very Vanilla card stock.

4. Use Stampin' Sponge and Soft Suede Stampin' Pad to distress edges of all pieces, including the banner and Framelits shapes.

5. Adhere 4-1/2" x 3-1/4" DSP to front of card; adhere 4" x 2-3/4" DSP over the first piece.

6. Stamp "A NOTE OF THANKS" on banner; use Bone Folder to curl and distress paper (use it like you would use scissors to curl ribbon). When it's soft and pliable and just starting to come apart at the edges, use Mini Glue Dots to adhere it to the front of the card near bottom of top piece of DSP.

7. Adhere smaller Framelits shape to larger shape. Wrap a piece of ribbon around your fingers two or three times, cut ribbon leaving a small tail at each end; open prongs of brad and slide center of ribbon loops between the prongs, pushing the ribbon as close to the base of the brad as possible. Close prongs and attach to Framelits shape. Adhere Framelits shape to front of card with Stampin' Dimensionals. Fluff ribbon however, you like.

Happy Stampin' Fun! And not nearly as difficult as it looks. The most time-consuming part of this project is painting the stamp -- it's fairly detailed.

Instructions:
(Unless otherwise indicated, SNAIL Adhesive used throughout)

1. Score Garden Green 8-1/5" x 5-1/2" card stock at 4-1/4"; fold away from scoreline to create card. Adhere Whisper White card stock to card front. Adhere 3-3/4" x 2-1/4" DSP over Whisper White about 1/8" from upper edge; adhere 3-3/4" x 2-3/4" DSP over Whisper White about 1/8" from bottom edge (these two pieces should meet or slightly overlap).

2. Stamp Happy St. Patrick's Day on 2-1/2" x 1-3/4" Whisper White card stock; adhere Sticky Sheet to card stock over stamped image. Remove backing paper and adhere used dryer sheet over Sticky Sheet. Use a paintbrush (I used the one that comes with the Powder Pals embossing trays) to daub Iridescent Ice embossing powder over the dryer sheet. Traces of the powder will adhere to the dryer sheet.

3. Adhere the Whisper White/dryer sheet card stock to 2-3/4" x 2" Garden Green card stock. Punch Blossom from Wild Wasabi card stock; cut in half; adhere one piece to back of Garden Green card stock so three petals show from the front in the upper left-hand corner. Adhere to front of card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

4. Tie a small bow from the Garden Green ribbon and use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere to upper left corner of the dryer sheet.

Hope you have a sparkling St. Pat's Day!!!
